Request On the roof I inserted a dormer. I would like to modify its dimensions. How can I do this? Answer Once the dormer has been inserted, in order to modify its length and width, you must first enter edit mode and then adjust its dimensions. How to proceed to edit the dormer: - in the "3D View" (or on the floor plan) select the dormer; - from the toolbar select the "Edit" command – or select the same command from the local menu (right mouse button). Once inside the editor, you can modify the dormer’s dimensions. How to modify the length of the dormer by typing the measurement from the keyboard: - in the floor plan view select the dormer at the ridge (at one end of the ridge, the one closest to the selection, the Grip appears and along the ridge the dormer length is indicated); - click on the length with the left mouse button and type the new measurement from the keyboard; - confirm by pressing the "Enter" key on the keyboard – the opposite vertex to the Grip remains fixed, and the selected one will move. How to modify the length of the dormer graphically using the Object Grip options: - in the floor plan view select the dormer at the ridge (at one end of the ridge, the one closest to the selection, the Grip appears and along the ridge the dormer length is indicated); - select the "Resize" command from the Grip; - select the handle (yellow dot) and by dragging it you can set the new measurement. In almost the same way, you can define the width of the dormer. How to modify the height of the dormer: - from the "3D View" select the dormer; - select the handle (blue dot) placed on the dormer gable; - moving the mouse you can type the new measurement from the keyboard (confirm the measurement by pressing the Enter key), or manually define the new height, also using the intersections with other objects.
