What is shown when I open Edificius?

Answer
When you open Edificius, the program’s home page is displayed.

We can divide the Edificius Home into 3 parts:

• On the left side of the Home we find the menu listing the functions for project management:
  • Classic for usBIM: starts the procedure to access the cloud and manage your projects;
  • Desktop: starts the procedure to manage your projects locally (on your PC);

For both environments you can:
  • New: starts the procedure for creating a new Edificius project;
  • Open: starts the procedure for opening an Edificius project;
  • Close: activated when a project is open and used to close the single file;
  • Save: starts the procedure for saving the open project;
  • Save As: starts the procedure for saving the project with another name, thus creating a copy of the project;
  • Print: starts the procedure for printing the current drawing;
  • Printer Setup: to select and define the printer’s general settings;
  • Export: activated with a project open, allows exporting it in various formats (IFC, DXF/DWG, SKP, OBJ, gbXML, Collada, STL, etc.);
  • Exit: to exit the program;
  • System Info: to display information about the system in use (system, CPU, monitor, video card, etc.);
  • Options: contains functions for customizing the program.

• The central part of the Home works dynamically:
  • at startup it shows the Recent Documents, and you can access the Computer content or open Examples;
  • by selecting the different options listed in the left section, the central area updates accordingly.

• On the right side of the Home, the available User Services are listed.

This area is divided into an additional 3 sections:
• In the first section you find the following commands:
  • Help: to solve your needs and correctly use the software functions.
  • Forum: a virtual space for sharing experiences, comparison, and discussion.
  • Video Tutorials...: an interactive platform to quickly learn how to use the software, with the most frequent issues solved through dedicated videos.
  • Updates from the internet: allows checking available updates, with related installation instructions.
  • Other services: allows viewing other services on the ACCA software website.

• The second section, The Essentials!!!, contains the videos you absolutely must watch if you want to start working immediately in the correct way.
• Finally, the Information and Support section contains online information on updates, courses, videos, forum discussions created, TV broadcasts — in other words, everything you need to know about the software you own.

WARNING!
The illustrated Services are available exclusively online; therefore, an internet connection must be available on your PC.
