Draw the envelope in Edificius

Answer
The first object in the Architectural menu is the Envelope (vertical).
The Envelope separates internal from external spaces (e.g., walls), defines rooms (e.g., partitions), and, together with other entities in its category (curved envelope, horizontal envelope, curtain and curved facade, dummy envelope, and roof), contributes to the definition of volumes and surfaces.
You can draw the Envelope directly in the levels or in the 3D view; inserting it in 3D is possible if there is an existing point to snap it to.
To draw the envelope, click the left mouse button at the starting point and, once the direction is defined, click a second time to set the endpoint. You can also, after placing the first point and defining the direction, type the length to cover directly from the keyboard.
To move the Alignment of the entity, press the F5/F6 keys, or adjust it from the properties toolbox.
To Rotate the envelope manually, select the snap point (initial or final) in blue and move it with the mouse.
To assign a specific angle, click on the angle and type a new value from the keyboard.
The envelope can also be easily modified after insertion.
By selecting the snap point in green and moving it with the mouse, you can:
- Translate along the XY axes when working in Levels;
- Translate vertically along the Z axis when working in 3D view.
By selecting the snap point in blue, you can reposition the start and end points.
By selecting the light blue arrows, you can adjust the length of the Envelope along its axis.
