TonyC | Window sunscreensTonyC 2021-06-11 14:25:11 Here's another really interesting support case I'd like to share with our users Question Where do I set the window sunscreen characteristics? Answer The window sunscreen characteristics are set in the window properties toolbox. Click here to see where to define the shielding characteristics In the window properties toolbox, in the screen section, you can define: 1) The type of shielding (Venetian, curtain, shutter, etc.); Click here to see how to set the shield type 2) The position of the shield (internal, external); Click here to see how to set the position of the shield 3) Depending on the type of shielding, it is necessary to indicate the properties required by the program (for example material and geometry of the slats, thermal conductivity, etc.); Click here to see how to set, for example, the properties of the slats in the case of Venetian screening Click here to see how to set, for example, the properties in the case of screening with Curtains/Fabrics 4) The type of control, that is, how the shield is used. It is possible to set a default control, choosing from the options proposed by the software, or a custom control. Click here to see how to set the control mode If a custom control is chosen, the "shielding program" must be set. This program must be selected from the BIM object library. Click here to see where to select the shielding program from the library Obviously, in the absence of such control programmes, use the PROJECT library or in the USER library to define them first. For this purpose, in the PROJECT library, for example, under "Usage Profiles" it is possible to add a profile (by the hour or by the minute) in the "Generic" folder or in the "ON/OFF" folder. Click here to see how to access the "Usage Profiles" archive in the PROJECT library. Click here to see where to add a profile by the hour or by the minute By defining a profile (by the hour or by the minute) in the "Generic" folder, a programming in percentage of use of the shielding is defined for the different time slots. For example, a percentage of 100% indicates that the shield will always be used for the indicated time slot. A percentage of 50% indicates that the shield will be used for half the time for the specified time slot. Click here to see how to add a sunscreen utilization percentage schedule Click here to see how to set the sunscreen usage percentage By defining a profile (by hour or by minute) in the folder "ON OFF", for the different time bands it is established whether the sunscreen is used or not. The ON setting indicates, for a given time slot, that the sunscreen is used. The OFF setting indicates, for a given time slot, that the sunscreen is NOT used. Click here to see how to add a sunscreen utilization percentage schedule Click here to see how to set an ON/OFF schedule for the use of the sunscreen.
