| THE PROJECT BIM OBJECTS LIBRARY EDITORTonyC 2021-06-10 15:37:35 Here's another really interesting support case I'd like to share with our users Question I assigned a material layer composition to a wall by selecting one of the predefined ones in the GENERAL library. In the building envelope object properties toolbox, under material layers, you can open the BIM Object Library Editor - PROJECT section. But what is this function for? Answer Whenever the building envelope Material Layers are chosen from the GENERAL BIM Objects library, these are also added to the PROJECT section too. Click here to see where to open, in the envelope properties toolbox, in the Material Layer section of the PROJECT Library Editor. If any changes are made to the Material Layer, these are only present in the version copied to the PROJECT library. In fact, all entities present in the GENERAL library cannot be modified. WARNING - even if you modify a Material Layer by selecting its relating wall, all other walls aor building envelopes that use that same Material Layer will also be Modified. Moreover, opening the Project library from " Navigator " and making changes to a present Material Layer, it is normal that the modification would involve all building envelopes to which that Layer has been assigned. Clearly the same concept can be extended to all entities of energy model (building envelope, glass, doors, windows, etc.). |
