How to import Price List items from Excel into PriMus

This discussion is being opened to share a technical Support issue.
A user needs to import item data from an excel file.

The easiest way is to copy the data from excel, and paste it into the PriMus Price List editor.

Hello Felix,

Thankyou for the link, but the video shows functions and actions that the software does not.

I still cannot copy/paste from excel :(

This discussion refers to PriMus (construction cost estimating amd rate analysis, etc...) and not PriMus-TO (Quantity take-off).

To import price list items from an excel file, make sure you are using PriMus and not PriMus-TO

HOW TO PROCEED:
1) download and install PriMus --> Click to download PriMus;
2) open PriMus and create a new price list type document --> see image;
3) open your Excel document too;
4) copy the requested items from the Excel file and paste them to the Price List editor --> see this video
Note - although the video refers to an older version of the software, the features and steps to follow are still the same.
5) save the '.dcf' document with a new name (ex: MyPrices.dcf);
6) close PriMus and Excel;
7) open PriMus-TO;
8) open your DWG/DXF CAD file;
9) open the previously saved price list (ex: MyPrices.dcf)
--> click here to see how to clicca per vedere come open the drawing - price list and how to proceed with PriMus-TO...
