Question: How can I insert an opening in a floor slab?
Answer: According to how we need to define the floor slab element and its footprint, we can take advantage of two main drawing methods:
A: If we need to define an opening that coincides with one of the floor slab edges, in that case, simply model the perimeter of the slab so as to leave the appropriate opening. See the following illustration for details:
B: The other method may be useful when needing to define a staircase opening in the middle of the slab element. In such case, you can use the HOLE object available in Edificius. See the following illustration to see an example of a slb with an OPENING:
