Request:
I want to exclude from the calculation of the coating (plaster, painting, etc.) all openings that have a surface area greater than or equal to 1.80 m².

Response:
The "selection filter" function allows you to select openings (doors, windows, openings) that have a surface area greater than or equal to, for example, 1.80 sq. m.

To proceed, follow these steps:
- Select the envelopes where the coating will be applied.
- Drag the price list item related to the coating onto the "add..." text in the takeoff toolbox.
- Choose the categories.
- In the "MetaTAKEOFF Editor" window, enter the measurement criterion, in this case, the surface area excluding openings, and confirm.
- Select the openings with a surface area greater than or equal to 1.80m² to be deducted, setting a filter in the "Selection Filter" with the condition "Surface of the 1st Opening >= 1.80".

- Calculate the openings using the same price list item and categories used for the coating.
- In the "Measurement Model Editor," use the variable "surface of the first opening" (for doors and windows) or the variables "Width" x "Height."
- Before closing the "MetaTAKEOFF Editor," use the +/- button to make the line negative and obtain the deduction of the item.
